Processing the Ocean as Grief
ByProcessing pictures of the ocean because I cannot process this grief.
I will forever miss the thought of Robin Williams in this world. His passing is so big and sad. even the ocean weeps this unfathomable erasure of something so big and colorful. The death of Robin Williams is a reminder that no matter how many people are around you and love you – care for you, support you – when you’re suffering an acute episode of depression the loneliness is beyond the beyond of debilitating.
I feel so sorry for his family, especially for his children.
Wonderful photo and moving words. It’s good to speak about depression. So many people suffer from it, me too from time to time and then everything feels so dark and I cannot see any light at the horizon. I’m sad for Robin and his family, too. He was a wonderful actor.

Thank you, Taphian. I agree that we should speak about depression more as so many people misunderstand it. Some (a good many people) think you can just “snap out of it” and all should be well. it’s not so easy, as you know. I’m glad a public discourse about depression is beginning as a result of this immense and terrible tragedy. That’s a positive, for sure.

The roles he played seem to be woven into the fabric of so many of our lives. We were enriched by his life, and we are impoverished by his death. The photo seems fitting.
